OZ

The highly regarded Euro-metal pioneers Oz were originally founded in 1977 in the small Finnish town of Nakilla. The band consisted of Mark Ruffneck (real name Pekka Mark) on drums, singer Ape de Martini (Eero Hämäläinen), bassist Tauno Vajavaara, and Kario ELO on guitar. Five years after their formation, Oz released their legendary debut album. With raw heavy metal anthems such as "Saturday Night," "Capricorn Man," and the racy "Second-Hand Lady," Oz quickly became the number one heavy metal band in Scandinavia (ahead of Heavy Load).
